Microsoft Office 365 recently rolled out a significant update for their Business/Enterprise 365 App, labeled as Version 2405. This update was anticipated to bring enhancements and improvements to the software suite. However, shortly after its deployment, reports began to emerge regarding various issues impacting user workflow. These issues range from difficulties in accessing files stored in cloud or internal repositories to notable delays experienced when attempting to fetch data from these repositories. Additionally, users have reported instances of file paths being lost, particularly when working with macro files. These issues have raised concerns among users and have prompted organizations to assess the impact on their operations.

The reported experiences include:
1
Users have reported difficulties accessing files stored in both cloud-based and internal repositories. These issues have disrupted workflow, causing delays and frustration.
2
Users are encountering frustrating delays when attempting to fetch data from various repositories. These extended wait times are impacting productivity and workflow efficiency, leading to concerns about meeting deadlines and completing tasks on time.
3
Some users have reported experiencing a loss of file paths, especially when working with macro files. This issue has resulted in confusion and disruptions to their work processes, as it impedes their ability to locate and access important documents swiftly.

These issues began surfacing immediately after the release of Version 2405 on June 1st, which occurred over the weekend. Initially, the cause was unknown, but several of our clients encountered the problem across multiple users, prompting them to report it.
Our interim solution, until Microsoft releases a new patch, is to revert to any older version prior to Version 2405.
While we have not yet found an official statement from Microsoft regarding these issues, we remain hopeful that they are actively monitoring the backend behavior and will provide a resolution in a forthcoming release.
